Kinchega Tag – Along tour

Come, look, see and learn about archaeology, landforms, Indigenous culture, pastoralism, park and water management. A must! Tag-Along with Rangers and Aboriginal Elders into areas in the south of Kinchega National Park normally restricted to the public. Gain personal insight into the Park, its history, function and future.

Old Kinchega Homestead Cultural Walk

Join NPWS staff in a guided walk around the Old Kinchega Homestead precinct. Be enthralled by the abundance of Aboriginal and European heritage of the area. Discover the history of the park and the significance of its cultural heritage. Accompany an Aboriginal Discovery Ranger to view and discuss a variety of Aboriginal sites. Also learn about the triumphs and tragedies of the enduring years of settlement and pastoralism.

Paroo Darling National Park

Peery Lake Tag-along Tour

Join a Discovery Ranger in a vehicle convoy through Paroo-Darling National Park to beautiful Peery Lake, which filled in 2008 for the first time since 2000 and still has plenty of water and birds. Take a stroll around part of the lakes edge and learn about the natural and cultural history of the park. Witness the life that water has brought to this internationally recognised wetland. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes and water.

Mungo National Park

Foreshore Walk

Join our Aboriginal Discovery Rangers for an informal adventure of exploration and learning. Discover the dinner plate of the Pink Cockatoo and the shady homes of the Kangaroo. We may even be lucky enough to try a little bush tucker. Highly recommended to all.

Tag-Along Tour to the Walls of China

Link up with Aboriginal Discovery Rangers for an informative tour of the famous Walls of China. Learn about the 50 000+ years of Aboriginal cultural history of the Willandra Lakes and discover the compelling story of survival associated with the rise and fall of the lake. Please note that on NAIDOC Day the 7th of July this tour is free of charge.

Evening Adventure:

A chance to meet Aboriginal Discovery Rangers at the Main Camp Ground for an educational and informative outdoor slide show including a ‘Starry Starry Night’ feature and light refreshments. As the night lengthens, sit back and enjoy the relaxing company. Please note that on NAIDOC Day the 7th of July this tour is free of charge.

Ledknapper Nature Reserve

Ledknapper Nature Reserve Tag-along-Tour:

Slide and Information Night:

A chance to meet with Rangers at Kidman Camp Caravan Park for an educational and informative outdoor slide show. As the night lengthens, sit back and enjoy the relaxing company.
