The route through the Riverina, despite the start being a highway run along the Hume to Wagga Wagga, once off the highway, the touring experience gains momentum by joining the Sturt Highway and passing through the eastern Riverina plains (Narrandera and Hay) and 
continuing westward to Euston where the highway meets the Murray River and continues along its banks to Wentworth whereby the Murray joins the Darling River. From Wentworth, it is a pleasant run north along the Silver City Highway to Broken Hill
